Season 9 Rules

Scoring

Scoring is based on a points system, the first team to 30 points wins the season.

  • A series matchup is either worth three or two points.
  • A series matchup is worth three points if teams have the same amount of players.
  • A series matchup is worth two points for the team up a player, and three points for the team down a player.
  • A big team battle matchup that occurs after the nightly series is worth one point per game, regardless of the head count per team.

To win points, you must win the series matchup. And/Or win the big team battle games after the usual series matchup.

Series are usually best of five for smaller team matchups, or best of seven for a big team battle matchup.

Following a series matchup, there will be (usually) 1-3 big team battle games for one point per game. We will rotate who gets to pick what game type we play. ANY halo is legal(NEW), any game type is allowed.

Big Team Battle Pics will go in this order:

  1. Chris
  2. Strafety
  3. Lappen
  4. John
  5. David
  6. Kay
  7. Reen
  8. Thea
  9. Josh
  10. Kevin
  11. Anthony
  12. Mike
  13. Nick
  14. Matt
  15. Whoopie
  16. DJ

Schedule/Weapon Selection

Rotation 1 (Weeks 1-3)- AR Start

Big Team Battle Night (Week 4)

Rotation 2 (Weeks 5-7) - BR Start

Big Team Battle Night (Week 8)

Rotation 3 (Weeks 9-11) - Halo 2, Weapon start must be agreed upon.

Each week we will try to have the most fair matchup possible, and due to absences this requires flexibility.

Weekend Play

Weekend play is not required, however if people want to play for a point at any point in the week, please adhere to the following:

  • Play should be an agreed upon series length (Either best of five, or best of seven).
  • Weekend Play is only allowed to be for one point.
  • Alternates are allowed to play weekend matchups as long as the group playing agrees.
  • Teams can be any matchup of players as long as everyone agrees on teams and who will be awarded points once the series is concluded.

Alternates

  • Season 9 alternates are Vinny, Drew, Thor, and Thea. They can play whenever they want and be placed on the team that makes the most sense at the time of play. No stacking the teams, no cringe. Its not that deep.

Additional Rules

  • Every team gets one Veto a night, if the matchup has an even number of players per team. If one team has more players they do NOT get a veto.
  • You can gain a steal (the ability to pick the map over any other team) if a player on your team gets a perfection (15-0 kill streak). This steal can be played whenever the opposing team has map pick.
  • Regarding map picks, any Halo map remake is legal.
  • Vinny Clause: If Vinny is on your team, it may result in you playing for one less point because hes so good.
